looks pretty residential, but near where I typically go, which is right around JSC in Clear Lake. Head down to Kemah one night... fun, good seafood (and other food), also boardwalk stuff now too. Probably a 20+ minute drive depending on traffic/rush hour. if you get a chance and like to see rockets... Space Disney... err Space Center Houston will let you see the old Saturn V (actually you might get to see those for free) and mission control. Also 20 minutes. Eat mexican food. Mamacita's is good. Be prepared for hot/humid. golf available a plenty. If by some odd chance you have a big block of time, even in the evening, the beach down at Galveston (and other attractions) is nice.... plus there is always Minute Maid park... never been because I always go when baseball isn't in season.... Sam Houston is a tollway... back in March there was nasty construction on the interstate in to Houston from the north, or so I heard.
